My first time in this bakery is today,never knew it existed. Nice selection of pastries, cookies, cakes & cupcakes. I ordered the German chocolate cake slices, cream puffs, chocolate mousse cream puffs & peanut butter cake slices. Everything is very delicious, very fresh, very satisfying. Nice people & helpful, highly recommend.

Ordered a cake that was supposed to say “Will you be my boyfriend?” And instead said “You will be my boy frend” a little too demanding for my taste, and a misspelled word! It also looked very sloppy with smudges and what not. Disappointed because my family had been coming here for awhile, will not order a cake again.

Amazing service and wow talk about hospitality! So welcoming and friendly. Offered my mom a sweet treat. Very much appreciated and I have to say everything taste fresh, home made and made with love

The best in the area!

We stopped by for the delicious Lobster Tails for dessert. The cases looked so good, like the true old fashioned bakery’s you don’t see any more. My friend and I were talking about some of the cakes, like the Brown Derby. Haven’t seen it years. I think it was the owner waiting us, he told the young girl to box one up and just gave it to us. No charge, who does that? It was such a nice gesture I had to share. Can’t wait to come back. A true gem in Middletown. And btw, the Tails were fabulous!

Absolutely love this bakery and all the delicious authentic goods they offer. It’s a true Italian family owned and run bakery. Everything is home made and is simply delicious. The best there is around hands down. There is no competition.

The best Italian bakery around hands down

After moving from Brooklyn in the early 80's I thought I would never find a good bakery in N.J. J&M is as good, if not better, than the bakeries I remember growing up. On top of that, the staff is wonderful; old-world style that is hard to find these days.

We wanted a beach themed wedding cake and J and M did not disappoint! Our cake was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Joe was helpful and very easy to work with. We highly suggest the cannoli filling cake. J and M will definitely have our continued business. Yum!

I wanted a Red Velvet cake for a surprise birthday party. I had no idea how difficult a chore it would be. I called Cravings and found that they were closed for the week. So I called The Macaroon Shop, they told me they make Red Velvet cupcakes, but not cakes (I still don’t understand this). I then called Confections Of A Rock$tar and thought I hit pay dirt, until the baker got on the line and told me they don’t do cream cheese frosting on the outside of the cake, it would have to be whipped cream. What? How do they make Carrot Cakes? So…. I called J & M (should have called them first!) my order was no problem. I got ¼ sheet, Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting on the outside & as the filling. WHAT A HIT! Good thing I got ¼ sheet, everyone wanted seconds! Moist delicious! I had one last year from The Cake Boss – Hoboken and let me tell ya, this one was much, much better. J & M is my new “go to” bakery. I am recommending this place to all my friends

The focaccia with a thick layer of crushed tomato and oregano (no cheese) is insanely good. If more people around here had a clue, the line would be out the door. And their sfogliatelle are legit. Everything is top notch.

This place is great! They made my daughters 1st birthday cake and it came out super cute! My guests raved about how great and delicious it was. Their assortment of Italian cookies were also super delicious. I'll definitely be using J & M Bakery in the future!

One of the only bakerys around. They have a very large selection of products with very reasonable prices. If you are looking for old style Italian desserts this is the place. Owner, bakers, and counter staff is very friendly and helpful.

Worst attitude....simply robbing the people.....price of cake changed by $8 in 10 mins without informing the customer....would never never never even think of to come here.Equally bad in taste and not at all fresh...never experienced ever such a bad quality and such a high price with equally bad attitude....worst ever

Not at all value for money... worst experiece....the attitude of the young girl over the counter the worst...should be thrown out of the counter...will never visit again....big mistake visiting that place

Good bakery. There desserts are good and the staff is friendly. I went there once with my husband when I was maybe nine months pregnant, I must have mentioned something about the blueberry scones and the owner handed me one for free as we were walking out the door. Nice man. By the way the blueberry scones are delicious!!!!!

This is a great bakery! They have awesome Italian pastries and cookies, fresh bread, cakes and lots more. Everything is always fresh and delicious, their prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
